Update: 11.5.2020

Hello Year 6!

It’s very weird to think that this week would’ve been our SATS week. I want to say how incredibly proud I am of each and everyone of you who put in so much effort in advance of this week. I know lots of you attended our booster sessions; completed SPAG booster booklets; went to Third Space Learning and some even put in extra effort after school. We may have mixed emotions of this week on “what could have been” or “what would have been” and what grade you wanted to achieve. Please don’t feel let down but think of how much you achieved in Year 6 this year and the skills you have learned throughout your time at Ashton West End. I have no doubt we will celebrate your success in the future! For now, I have attached a poem about this week and some ‘silly’ SATS papers for you to have a go at – don’t take them too seriously!

Update: 20.4.2020

Wow! Can you believe how long it has been since we were all back in school? I know I can’t. I’ve been popping into school now and then and it’s very quiet in the classroom without you all. I do miss seeing your bubbly faces and (some) of your loud voices! I hope you have been using the website and using the resources. Please keep using Times Table Rockstars, Mathletics, Bedrock and Espresso. Well done to the children who are keeping this up 😊 Here are some other learning areas if you want some more exciting tasks. BBC Bitesize daily have lessons every day on their website – I would definitely look at this!
