Welcome to Year 6!

A warm and welcome back to the start of the new school year! This year will be challenging but fun and exciting at the same time. Year 6 brings rewarding responsibilities to help around the school some of you might be wanting to apply to be house point monitors, librarians, reception helpers, play leaders and head boy and head girl.

Our main topic in autumn term is mountains and we are hoping to be visiting a mountain to experience how mountains are formed. Please read our class newsletter on the school website for extra information on what exciting topics we will be covering this term.

Please continue to read every week and remember to change your reading book and your library book each week. Spellings are given out each Friday to be tested for the following Friday. Homework will also be given out on a Friday to be completed and returned for Wednesday. Please do not forget your PE kit for PE on Mondays!

We are looking forward to working and supporting all children in our classes and providing help throughout the year. We have high expectations of the children so that they can work to their best throughout their time in Year 6. We look forward to a fantastic year and we can’t wait to see how each child develops their learning throughout this year!

Thank you for your continued support.
