Ashton West End Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent, effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.

Our Safeguarding Team:

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is the process used to inform or report to schools, prior to 9.00 a.m. the following school day, when the police have attended an incident in which a child or young person has been involved in or been exposed to an incident of domestic violence or abuse. The information is given to a trained ‘Key Adult’ within the school. The child can then be supported with silent or overt support.

There is a link to the Operation Encompass Website below or you can speak to a key adult via the school office.

Key Adult: Miss Pizuti
Deputy Key Adult: Ms Barnett
