Summer term 1

This half term we have been working in hard in all areas.

We are particularly proud of our learning in Design and Technology.

We have been learning about Money Containers. We looked at existing products and the different features that make them useful. We then designed, crafted and decorated our own money containers using our sewing skills. 



Spring 2 Week 4

In Science this week, we have been learning about plant adaptation. We focused how plants have changed to grow successfully in their environments.  We read each description and matched it to the plant and habitat. 


Spring 2 Week 2

In French this week, we have been playing bingo by learning the names for animals, We practised our pronunciation and listened carefully to the teacher to identify the given animals.


Spring 1 Week 6

This week in Computing, we have been continuing our Coding journey! We have learnt about how create sprites and background elements for our own game creation. We then created some elements of code to programme the sprites to move.



Spring 1 Week 4

This week in Geography, we have been thinking about the European country of France. We located France on a map and identified the countries that share borders with France. We discussed the distance from the UK and other known locations. 


Spring 1 Week 2

This week in Computing, we have been Coding! We have learnt about how code is used to create games, apps and programs that we use on tablets and computers. We used the code pieces to make characters move across the game grid and solved problems when the code was incorrect.


Wednesday 8th December

This week in History, we have been celebrating our fantastic work in History. Over the Autumn half term we have been learning about the Victorians and this week some of our fabulous learning has been displayed around our school.







This week in maths we have been brushing up on our counting skills – we have been practising counting in 25’s. We used number lines to support our learning and looked at different representations. After that, we started to learn  about negative numbers. Again, we used number lines to support our learning.
